Super Bowl Commercials

Super Bowl XLII between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans became the most-watched television event in the United States on Monday, totalling an estimated 106-million viewers.

The Saints defeated the Colts 31-17 in a thrilling Super Bowl. Drew Brees won Super Bowl MVP completing 32/39 passes for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns.
I was excited that the New Orleans Saints won, and in such an entertaining fashion. But, I'm a football fan.

On the other hand, a large portion of the estimated 106-million viewers was probably watching for a different reason: the infamous Super Bowl Ads. Because the Super Bowl is watched and talked about by so many people, advertising during the Super Bowl has become highly expensive. According to the Wikipedia entry on Super Bowl Advertising, 30 seconds of advertising for this year's Super Bowl cost $3.1 million.

Super Bowl advertisers , -because of the expenses, significance of the event, and the amount of prostate viewers-, have put lots of effort into their Super Bowl ads, and there have been many memorable ads.
One of my favorite Super Bowl ads in recent memory is this Bud Light commercial, featuring former (no, he's not funny anymore) comedian Will Ferrell:

As for this year's Super Bowl?

My favorite commercial was the McDonald's H-O-R-S-E commercial with LeBron James and Dwight Howard, which my brother blogged about on our website, Celtics Town.com.
